Program Structure & Course Details
To earn the advanced micro-credential, participants must complete all four of the following courses:
1. Foundations of Coaching
Designed for current and aspiring instructional coaches, this course explores how to build strong coaching relationships, support classroom practice, and sustain impactful, non-evaluative professional development for teachers.
2. Essential Communication Skills
Developed to engage participants in exploring effective verbal and nonverbal communication strategies to enhance leadership, active listening, positivity, and support.
3. Essential Coaching Processes
Based on the four key coaching types—technical, challenge, collegial, and cognitive—that are essential to a robust coaching process.
4. Essential Questions for Life
Constructed to enhance participants’ ability to establish clarity, identify target audiences, and frame questions that foster deep learning in a culture of coaching.
