The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Advanced Micro-Credential Program equips educators with essential interpersonal and intrapersonal skills to support student achievement and well-being. Rooted in current research, this program provides practical strategies to help students:
- Manage emotions effectively
- Build meaningful relationships
- Make responsible choices that lead to positive learning outcomes
Through four courses, participants will gain the tools to teach critical SEL competencies—such as self-management, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making—skills essential for students’ long-term success. Each course is led by expert instructors who provide personalized guidance and actionable feedback, ensuring that educators can immediately apply these strategies in their classrooms.
Program Structure & Course Details
To earn the advanced micro-credential, participants must complete all four of the following courses:
1. The Social-Emotional Classroom
Learn and practice effective classroom-culture activities for diverse communities that will build students’ ability to interact effectively, respectfully, and empathetically.
2. Self-Awareness and Self-Management
Explore strategies to support students in identifying their emotions, building self-confidence, and effectively managing their emotions and behaviors.
3. Self-Care and Responsible Decision-Making
Expand your professional capacity to lead students to develop skills in responsible decision-making, self-care strategies, and the pursuit of contentment.
4. Relationship Skills and Social Sensing
Increase your proficiency to engage students in developing healthy relationships, communicating and socializing effectively, and practicing global citizenship.
