Course Access:

• Self-Paced: Each course includes 45 days of interactive access. If you purchase multiple courses within a single concentration at the same time, your total access period will be extended (e.g., two courses = 90 days, three courses = 135 days, etc.).
  
  Upon enrollment, your dashboard will initially display 45 days per course. By the next business day, your end date will be adjusted to reflect the correct total access period based on the number of courses purchased.

Course Description

This course empowers educators with strategies to enhance student learning experiences, aligning with influential teacher evaluation frameworks such as the Danielson Framework for Teaching, Marzano Teacher Evaluation Model, and TAP System for Teacher and Student Advancement. Participants will engage in reflective practice to assess their expertise in designing effective learning experiences, focusing on clear communication of expectations and the use of success criteria. The course covers methods for:

• • Scaffolding instruction to support student learning
  • Engaging students in meaningful vocabulary learning
  • Facilitating productive classroom discussions
  • Promoting effective student collaboration
  • Using data-driven strategies to differentiate instruction
  • Making instructional adjustments to meet student needs

Educators will evaluate and refine instructional resources to enhance student engagement and self-reflection. Upon completion, teachers will be equipped with practical tools to create dynamic, student-centered classrooms focused on engagement, learning, and student success.

Course Objectives

Participants will be able to:

• Evaluate your expertise in creating effective learning experiences and communicating learning expectations
• Discuss the concept of success criteria and strategies for clearly communicating learning outcomes and directions
• Explore the use of positive reinforcement to help students meet expectations
• Examine the zone of proximal development and methods of scaffolding, including peer-to-peer learning
• Discover and apply strategies for meaningful vocabulary instruction and teaching academic vocabulary
• Describe various questioning techniques to foster effective classroom discussions and reflective thinking
• Explore methods for engaging students in real-world learning and promoting reasoning abilities
• Discuss the difference between group work and collaboration, and explore strategies for fostering productive student collaboration
• Analyze and enhance your use of resources to increase student engagement and promote self-reflection and goal-setting
• Collect and use data to differentiate instruction and make informed instructional decisions
• Discuss MTSS, the use of teachable moments, and strategies for making instructional adjustments as needed
